Below you will find information and links to resources that can help students prepare for the ACT and SAT exams.
Yes. You or your student is responsible for registering for the ACT. Go to ACT.org. LHS does not register students for the ACT (except in the Spring of Junior Year - See Below)
If your student has a current IEP or IAP through Special Education or 504 Regular Education, your student may be eligible for testing accommodations through ACT. Contact your student's counselor if you have questions.
State accountability requires all high schools to have a valid score on file for every Junior. LHS administers the ACT to all Juniors in the Spring. The state pays for this administration. You do not have to register for this test. All scores are college-reportable.
If your student is college-bound, it is recommended that your student take the ACT during the Fall of Junior Year, during the Spring of Junior Year, and as many times as necessary Senior year to obtain a desired score. Desired score depends on your student's post-secondary plans. You and your student are responsible for registration and payment of all ACT tests (except the state-mandated test during the Spring of Junior Year).
ACT scores determine TOPS eligibility, qualify students for various scholarships and plays a roll in a student's placement in college classes.
Go to ACT.org. ACT will send scores to 4 universities as part of your testing fee. To send more than 4 scores, students must pay a fee per score over 4.
You are responsible for sending your score to TOPS. Use the TOPS code 1595.
Max number of attempts is 12.
